  • Serve communion – Twice a month, volunteers assist the Pastor to serve communion.
  • A/V workers – Work the sound and slide presentations for the service
  • Coffee time hosts – Make coffee before the service so that it is ready to serve after services; clean up after the service.

Music Ministry

Music is a joyful part of our Sunday service. Our musicians and singers provide musical leadership during service with a mixture of praise songs, new and old hymns and stirring anthems.

We are currently looking for volunteer musicians and singers who would like the opportunity to share their God given talents with our church during this service. If you are interested please call the church office at (321) 259-3356 to find out the next rehearsal dates.

 Project Eden

Project Eden is the name of our garden, and like all good gardeners it is growing and evolving with each passing season.  Volunteers meet Monday mornings at 9:00am to tend to the garden and enjoy fellowship.  Some days there is heavy work to do and on other days there is simply weeding. If you are interested in being a part of Project Eden, please come by any Monday morning , everyone is welcome!

What is Buses-n-Backpacks?

Crossroads, United Church of Christ partnered with Croton Elementary School to create a program that we have called Buses-n-Backpacks. At the end of the school day every Friday ten children that the school has identified as “in need” pick up a backpack that we have filled with food for the child’s whole family for the weekend.  The following week we pick up the empty backpacks and refill them for the next weekend. Currently, we sponsor ten families during the school year.

We are very excited that we were able to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank in Melbourne to purchase food for much less than we could at the grocery store.

How can I get involved?

We update a small list of food items that are running low in our food pantry.  We welcome food donations as well as monetary ones.  We need volunteers to check dates and put away any donations received over the weekend; to pick up the empty backpacks at the school and refill them; and to deliver the backpacks to the school. Look for the sign-up sheet in the Lobby at the church; call the church office at (321) 259-3356 or email the church.

Matthew 25: 34-40

“…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me”

Simple acts.  Profound effects.

Special Events:
  • Rummage and Bake Sale:  This is a big fundraiser for the church as well as an opportunity for fellowship.  The sale is usually held in the spring and the fall.  The week before the sale church members are busy sorting, pricing, cleaning and collecting donations for this two-day event.
  • If you would like to participate in any of the events listed above, please contact the Church office at (321) 259-3356 or by email at Office@CrossroadsUCC.Church.
